Practice Philosophy

We receive a lot of messaging throughout our lives about who we “should” be or what is “wrong” with us. This messaging can creep into the stories we develop around who we are. These stories can place a lot of pressure to conform to ideas or expectations that no longer feel true to us or even attainable. Using perspectives in mindfulness, self-compassion, emotional agility, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, internal family systems, narrative and complex trauma techniques, we can work on getting to a place that feels true to you.

In working with you, we hope you can feel comfortable being whoever you are. We encourage conversations about difference and identities that do not fit into dominant culture. Thank you for taking this step and allowing us to honor and support you on this journey.
